The Effective Nonprofit Board

The Effective Nonprofit Board  is a high level customised programme that will enable you to gain a better understanding of the nonprofit ecosystem, the regulatory environment, and the challenges facing organisations. It will furnish you with the strategies to overcome internal and external shocks in your operating environment. You will be equipped with the necessary tools, knowledge and skills to sustain the impact of your organisation and will be exposed to best practices in nonprofit board governance, fundraising, grant management, and stakeholder engagement.

  1. Learn how to promote and improve transparency and accountability through robust measures to attract commitment from investors, promote a culture of integrity and improve the reputation of the organisation.
  2. Understanding the changing legal and regulatory climate of nonprofits and how it contributes to organisational sustainability.
  3. Gain a detailed understanding of how nonprofit financing works. Learn how to engage stakeholders and partners for fundraising and grant management.
  4. Demonstrate a critical awareness of the board’s strategic and governance role in building a sustainable nonprofit through a well-defined purpose.
  5. Manage roles and responsibilities and how the role of the board differs from the role of management.
